Kettlebell - 16 kg

Started KB training and 3rd session already able to Jerk press the 16KG with my non-dominant arm. That's the training. For the item. It is nice and compactly built. The horns maybe a bit too long for me. And the handle needs some smoothing but over all I am satisfied. It is also cost efficient compared to others. The rubber bottom doesn't just add aesthetics but noise and impact protection to the surface I'm working on. Great item.

Would recommend this to anybody who is into working out. Its very sturdy. I think it would last for a long time.

Great product from Decathlon, but if you're planning on getting it shipped it may come in a bit chipped and scratched. The product had a few of the enamel chipped from the handling during shipping, but only astheics. The product came is a small box with no protective packaging other than a bag around the kettlebell. The kettlebell came in has an accurate weight of 35.4 lbs, just a hair from 16kg/35.6lbs. This was scientifically tested on my bathroom scale. Again, awesome product, but caution on the shipping. Recommend that Decathlon relook at their packaging for such a heavy product.

Free and fast delivery during lockdown was great. Generally an OK kettlebell but I find the square handles make doing the swing a little awkward. Difficult to find kettle bells in Malaysia so still grateful that Decathlon stock any.

I have two of these for a varied workout. They are not perfectly made competitive kettlebells. Neither are they are sculptures or works of art. There are some defaults as can be expected from raw cast iron products. They ARE the perfect kettlebell for a home workout. The rubber bases are superior to any other home kettlebell on the market, they will protect your floor (and walls if your aim is poor), your toes for those barefoot workouts and any other body that may accidentally come into contact with the kettlebell. The rounded upper half is very comfortable for racking on shoulders, forearms, waist, thigh, heel, wherever you plan to rest it. The wide square shaped handles are perfect for one handed and two handed exercises. This allows you to hold the kettlebell close to the body. The handles are also nicely made to get a good grip without or with chalk depending on if you want to protect your hands and secure your grip. As the handle is not too thick, you could also wear a sort of glove / grip / hand protector if you are so inclined. When mine were delivered the boxes each said measured weight was 15.7kg. I haven't checked this myself. Now, this is quite a deviation from a stated 16kg, But let's be real, if you are considering buying a kettlebell from Decathlon, chances are you are not looking to set a verifiable olympic world record of any particular exercise, otherwise you'd be looking at something 5-10 times this price. They both feel nicely balanced and are the same weight. In brief, if you want to keep fit, have a good safe workout at home, not damage yourself nor your home, this is a perfect addition to your workout equipment at a steal of a price. If you quickly give up on home workout ambitions, it's still a fairly good value door stop or home protection tool. I recommend using them whilst working out on a yoga mat or similar. Experience: previously a competitive weightlifter and coach.

First of all, this does look great and is great value. The base is stable and the wide handle is useful. Unfortunately though, the design makes for uncomfortable use and I would think twice about getting more from this range, COVID lockdown may force my hand on that if the other suppliers don't get them in. After 3 weeks of use I have rough, callused fingers and still not got up the same workout frequency, due to letting bruises rest (and these are just from doing getups, no cleans or windmills etc). My main complaints are: The handle is rough, if you are doing swings then expect rubbing. The coloured ring is not flush on mine like the photo but sticks out, the material is soft to touch but if you are doing cleans or windmills the ring is right on the equator, where it hits your arm. I am not even doing this type of movement, it hurts and I have permanent bruises on my forearm just where it rests from doing get-ups. The rubber bottom, with its pleasing geometric pattern adds to the pain. On one side, the position directly under the number is not a flat piece but a corner- it is pointy right where your wrist goes. Ouch! It would be nice if this was round and extended right up to the handle to give some wrist protection. Over all, if you are desperate then buy it but if not it's worth waiting for other suppliers to get back in stock.

The wider handle makes it easier to grip with two hands. The finish is good but a smoother finish on the handle may be better over time. Overall the bell is comfortable and handles well. The square handle gives you more a more comfortable 2 handed grip especially when holding the bell upside down for some exercises. Overall, a good kettle bell for countless exercises you can do at home.

Nice rubber base on these hard style bells.

I recommend this product for stronger women 16kg is heavy to lift ... not for beginners. Material of the good the handle is not to big for my hands.
