Great value for novice boules persons.
Sent the wrong size. Why?
more than happy with them
Bought a set of these 2 weeks ago. really happy with them - used them allot in that time on a variety of surfaces. great finish - wears well, roll well, good choice of size and weight. I've only marked them down as they do not come with a bag.
Clear description and advice on how to choose the appropriate size Easy ordering system and amazing delivery particularly as it was the Xmas season and my purchase arrived on exactly the date stated.
Excellent product which I have used approximately 5 times now. No scratches like cheaper products. Arrived 2 days after I ordered them. Excellent service and highly recommended.
The boules are very good to use as both pointer and shooter. The smooth finish is now gaining some battle scars as all boules do. They are well weighted and comfortable in the hand. The coche being yellow polyurethane plastic doesn't suffer from the problems others with only a surface colour do, that is chipping and wear making some difficult to see after a lot of use. I expect this set will last a lifetime ands far I've enjoyed using them.
The boiled I bought are a joy to use.
Very good competition boules for newcomers to the sport. Several members of my club have purchased a set, all of them very happy with the quality and cost.
Excellent quality and price can certainly recommend.
Perfect for my little hands
I've been using this 2-3 times a week the past four months and found them to be excellent. Previously was using Obut as well as KTK and JB. I play on a gravel surface and the boules are holding up very well (even though I am practising shooting a lot. Just scuff marks and the hardness and shine are holding up well.) I cannot wait to try the Delta range when the Decathlon stores here decide to carry them!)
Thank you for your review for the Geologic Alpha Boules!

HARD petanque boule
3 petanque boules and 1 jack.
Your choice of petanque boule should be based on several factors.Your playing style (pointer, shooter, all-rounder) will determine:- the required bounce quality (hard, semi-soft, soft or very soft)- the weight of your boule (heavier for pointers and lighter for shooters)The size of your hand will determine the diameter of the boule.
The boule's hardness is expressed in the ROCKWELL "HRC" unit or in kg/mm².For example, 45 HRC corresponds to 146 kg/mm².The higher the number, the harder the boule. The harder the boule, the less likely it is to get damaged, and the higher its elasticity, and vice versa.
Our competition petanque boules are hollow. These are the steps of our manufacturing process: - A lump of steel heated to +/- 1000 C° is flattened and then stamped or forged into a hemisphere - These hemispheres are machined inside, welded together, and rotated until they are spherical. - The boule is then engraved, baked, and dipped into water, which will determine its hardness. - Finally, they are polished or varnished and then inspected.
After each match, wipe off dust with a clean cloth. Once a month, oil your petanque boules to prevent them from rusting. Cleaning regularly lengthens the lifespan of your petanque boules while also ensuring the quality of your match.
