Bought this a while ago and have been able to finally use it , I came to this from an intex K1 and this is the better of the 2. As I’m over 6 foot the K1 was a squeeze but this been open top is plenty spacious for my long legs , However the lack of a spray deck means you ain’t coming out dry. Seat is pretty poor but that’s common with this style of kayak with complete lack back support but again there all the same , Good and stable out on the water though the 3rd skeg on the front I felt was unnecessary so I only used the back 2 , still tracked perfectly well Very portable as I got this on the back of a motorcycle with relative ease.
Kayak is so far so good Would recommend product However decathlon service has been below average, they sold products they didn’t have in stock making a young child miss their birthday present, it took over 2 months for this to be rectified. For this reason I will never order from this store again
Brought this last year for use on the sea and canals. Great kayak and generally pleased with performance. My only hiccup is the seat. I am very uncomfortable in the kayak and need a much higher backrest support. May have to sell and buy rigid if none available. Decathlon store not able to help. Any ideas anyone?
Sorry for our late reply. I just checked if we have some rigid kayaks available online, for 1 person and we have the next one, at £299.99 (I will give you the reference number and you can have a look on our website): 8656495
We have more rigid models, but for 2 people. If you need more information about other models, please let us know.
We thank you very much for your time to leave us a feedback. Thank you for shopping with us and hope to see you soon again. Take care and stay active! Have a nice evening!
Decathlon Milton Keynes
Bought them a few weeks ago and have used them heaps. Easy to use, quick to inflate, easy to pack away as long as it’s dried out fully. Worth every penny.
I am very happy with my kayak I am a mature female and found the inflating and getting of my kayak ready to launch was easy and user friendly and was lovely to get out on the river
The order was delivered promptly, and the kayak is quick and easy to set up.

Decathlon Hong Kong Watersports Team (Service & B2B)
Waited quite a while for this item to come back into stock. Used it for 1st time last weekend. Very difficult to paddle - almost no glide, so hard work to get anywhere. In any kind of current, the kayak wants to turn broadside on - the 3 skags under the kayak have no effect whatsoever. Probably good for kids who want to play in shallow water at beach, but hopeless on even the stillest stretch of water. Will be selling ASAP and buying a rigid plastic kayak (wish I'd done that in the first place).
bought this kayak and on my first outing the right hand side bladder started to deflate. Awaiting reply from decathlon about a replacement!
I like it therefore after buying one for a month, I go to store again and buy another one. It is relatively easy and fast for inflating and packing. The best of it I could explore the many beaches and islands in Hong Kong with the kayak. Two suggestions: 1. Elastic string for keeping things in the front. You have it at the back, why don't you do same for the front. Besides, it would be easier to get thing in the front then at the back. 2. More handle or gripping belt/string on the two sides. There is only one handle on each side of the kayak. With extra handle or gripping belt/string, they provide additional safety and could provide points for tying up things to be put on the side, eg. an extra paddle just in case of accident. One question: 1. How do I get the water out of the kayak while I am paddling in the water? For each movement of the paddle in and out of the water, the paddle also bring some water into the centre hallow part of the kayak. More and more water accumulate inside the kayak making it heavier and heavier. It slow down the kayak and burn my energy. There is also a safety reason too as I could be too tried to go back to shore due to the heavy kayak. How could I solve this problem?
Purchased this kayak late last year and has only been used once, when I’ve taken out the bladders to clean the zip on the canvas cover is broken meaning I cannot zip the bladders back in and when I have inflated and left for 24 hours to clean and allow to dry it’s lost a significant amount of air. Not happy at all for the price of this. Wished I’d of saved myself the hassle and not purchased at all
We bought this for use in Thailand and have had used it over the last three trips for recreation and fishing. Very stable in the sea and holds its course well. No problems whatsoever and all this in temperatures of 80 -95 deg. F
To set the scene - I am 68yo, 94kg and its been 50 years since last using a sea canoe. She assembles easily and is confortable to carry to the water. I use her in the Thames Estuary, the last time in force 3-4 wind with a 2 foot chop. No problem with tracking and the waves are easy to deal with. Quite stable compared to the fibreglass kayaks. Still practicing getting into her elegantly! If you don't want to spend tons of money, this is a good choice. The seat could do with upgrading as the back is flimsy. Not too much of a problem as you lean forward to paddle anyway. Recommendation - choose a paddle with a large blade area, not the smaller, skinny bladed ones. You want to be able to get good power into the blade in a chop Next - I'm going to replace the 3 standard skegs with larger area ones. I'm looking for a replacement seat (although the standard one is quite adequate). Just treated myself to a full body wetsuit (£30), now to go out and practice capsize drill. Enjoy! Gary
After first use of this kayak the zip became stuck and the tab on the other one broke. This means you can’t dry the inner bladder or the canvas properly when you want to store it. Wish I had just paid to hire a kayak instead, would have saved about £150 as I only used it a couple of times
Dear Mr Smith,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have discovered issues with our 1 Man Itiwit kayak. It is something new what we have not seen before with this model. I guess it is probably individual case. This model has been introduced to the market 3-4 years ago, we sold thousands qtys worldwide and we didn't have any problems with the out layer zip? Please, is there any chance you could send me few pictures of the kayak and the broken part (email will be provided with my reply). I will forward them to the product engineer who can launched additional quality checks at the production level.
We do many spare parts for this kayak to increase life time of the product but unfortunately we don't do the out layer cover. In this case the only solution I can proposed is to replace it for the new one at one of our stores. In the UK or in Europe. Also you can use the online procedure for full refund or exchange.
Once again apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Bought 2 of these kayaks from decathlon and they are not worth the hassle. Zippers became stuck after first use so you can’t take it apart to dry it out before storing. Zipper on other kayak broke

The kayak is fantastic, pity Decathalon’s customer service isn’t. The bag was damaged on arrival. When I first notified them, reply was ‘sorry the bag isn’t in our catalogue. When I complained, their reply was to return the whole kayak – all I need is a replacement bag. By the kayak by all means but think about the after sales service you might need before choosing Decathlon. 5/5 for kayak, 1/5 for Decathlon customer service.
Inflate the floor first, then one of the side tubes, then the second one to 50%. Check the overall chamber positioning. Then inflate to 100% without exceeding 0.1 bar (1.5 psi).DO NOT OVER-INFLATE!Fully close all of the valves.Install the 3 keels, unless using on a river containing little water. In the event of EXTREME HEAT, slightly deflate the kayak out of the water to avoid overinflation, which could damage the kayak.Do not leave inflated in the sun: risk of overinflation.
In the event of damage to one of the side chambers, open the side tube lengthways using the zip and remove the chamber. The floor can be uncovered by opening the Velcro fastenings.Example 1: the hole is in the side tube; you can use the repair kit to stick on a patch.Example 2: the hole is located along a seam; visit the workshop of a DECATHLON store to repair or exchange the bladder.
New carry bag, backpack style for short distances.Easy clip fins.Dry and deflate the kayak by unscrewing the 3 "Boston" valves.Fold the lateral tubes down onto the floor.Roll, starting from the opposite side to the valves to remove the air.Place the rolled-up kayak into the main compartment of the bag.Close the zip and tighten using the compression strap.
Patented bow shape: the front and back ends provide good glide. The V-shaped front of the kayak enables smooth entry into the water.
