Have used the kayak and found it easy to inflate, it worked well on the water and once dried, easy to deflate and pack up
Better than i was expecting, very good quality
it comes with no paddles or pump. Ryanair school of business? you want paddles with your kayak... extra money.. you want to inflate it? extra money.. Okay fine.. But it should be really really clear when you buy this thing - that you dont get paddlles or a pump.
My wife and I purchased 1 each, really enjoying them, very stable in the sea and rivers, very simple and quick to inflate, we use a hand pump
After much deliberation, I decided to purchase Decathlon's Itiwit inflatable Kayak, a brand I had not heard of until recently. Pros: The kayak is sturdy, easy to set up and break down, transport and dismantle for drying. It is well designed with strong materials and intuitive features. The boat is easy to maneuver in the water and comfortable to paddle in for long distances. Cons: Some issue with interior inflatable pontoons twisting. Issue was amended by unzipping sides and straightening out twisted areas. The three removable fins are very hard to insert and remove once the boat has been used a few times. Even one grain of sand will make insertion impossible without the help of a soft mallet (we used the shaft of a paddle to assist). It was not clear from the start that the pump and paddles were sold separately and created an unnecessarily prolonged shopping experience. Overall: Nice, easy to use product with a few design feature issues. Wish the price included all items necessary to get out on the water.
Unfortunately after a short time we had a problem with the bladder split at the seam , although we though the product was great I was very frustrated not being able to purchase one from decathlon and left a poor service review however i was contacted by Jerome because he was also concerned about the problem and offered to replace , i was very pleased to have a response but had very little hope of receiving the replacement however it came to day so great service does exist thank you all
I think mention should be made of the need for adaptors to connect pump to kayak or for them to be included in the pump package, I have had to order them separately which all takes time off the water!
Great fun had to wait for stock to come in but we got there all good go buy one there great fun
New to kayaking. Tried a friends. Saw this kayak and loved the look. Used it twice in first yo days. Really easy to assemble. So sturdy and durable. Feel really safe a secure. Surprised didn’t come with paddles. Packs away so well. Love it!
Bought it 6 months ago, used about 10 times on a quite rivers in the UK. Pros: solidity, fabric outer layer provides good protection from nature. Of course is much slower than rigid kayaks or high pressure ones because is wider, BUT - with decent technique you can still do 25 km daily. Good tip: add some water under the floor - it reduces drag on water. It is exceptionally stable. Minuses: seats do not support back no matter what you do - they slip forward and you lean back, velcro cannot hold sits in their position. Secondly - it requires long time to dry - it is a trade off of having fabric protection. But overall - good product
I’ve only had the kayak for a couple months and already the bag is falling apart. All the straps have popped off so now I have no practical way of carrying it to the beach. I now have to buy a new duffle bag which will be $75 -$100 or more so consider that cost if you’re thinking about buying this kayak. I’m concerned that this is a sign of poor quality overall.
Great for an adult and child. Really easy to inflate and deflate. Fits easily back into the carrier. Have used on sea and canal and was great in both conditions. Fins were difficult to remove after use on beach - sand in the fixtures - but came out with a gentle tap from hammer and piece of wood. Back supports of little use to 6 foot 4 man but didn't expect they would be.
Have used this Kayak over the last month or so. PROS 1. Easy to set up and pump up 2. Very stable in the water 3. Very enjoyable all round 4. Relatively inexpensive 5. Compact for Storage CONS: 1. Not a "real" Kayak experience - it is more like a boat or canoe - fun for getting out on the water 2. The seats are not particularly comfortable. I actually now do not use them 3. The only paddles available at the store were the shorter ones, the clerk indicated they would be fine because we were shorter. We should have waited for the long ones to come in. The paddles are too short for the width of the boat. All in all we are having a fun time on the water which we would not otherwise be able to do with traditional Kayaks due to space, and ability to transport.
Got this to enjoy the water with the family. Fits me, the Mrs and a one year old. Had to buy the longer 235cm paddle otherwise your hands hit the sides. Took it out in choppy sea with no worries of capsizing. Very quick to put up and pack away. Used existing decathlon 4L mattress pump with a pressure gauge. Make sure you get life vests as this thing can paddle hundreds of meters away from shore. Only complaint are the shoulder straps on the bag, too thin and dig in to your shoulders.

Inflate the floor first, then one of the side tubes, then the second one to 50%. Check the overall chamber positioning. Then inflate to 100% without exceeding 0.1 bar (1.5 psi).DO NOT OVERINFLATE!Fully close all of the valves.Install the 3 keels, unless using on a river containing little water. In the event of EXTREME HEAT, slightly deflate the kayak out of the water to avoid overinflation, which could damage the kayak.Do not leave inflated in direct sunlight: risk of overinflation.
In the event of damage to one of the side chambers, open the side tube lengthways using the zip and remove the chamber. The floor can be uncovered by opening the Velcro fastenings.Example 1: the hole is in the side tube; you can use the repair kit to stick on a patch.Example 2: the hole is located along a seam; visit the workshop of a DECATHLON store to repair or exchange the bladder.
New carry bag, backpack style for short distances.Easy clip fins.Deflate the kayak by opening the 3 "Boston" valves.Fold the lateral tubes down onto the floor.Roll, starting from the opposite side to the valves to remove the air.Place the rolled-up kayak into the main compartment of the bag.Close the zip and tighten using the compression strap.
The seats are high, providing increased comfort for adults in the paddling position. The seats are to be placed according to the number of persons on board, just behind of the markings printed on the floor. On the "2" markings (which therefore remain visible) when there are 2 persons on board. On the "1" marking when there is only one person on board.Ensure that you balance your load to optimise kayak performance.
Patented bow shape: the front and back ends provide good glide. The V-shaped front of the kayak enables smooth entry into the water.
