Excellent rashguard for Judo and BJJ

I initially had some reservation on this product for serious judo players. However, since I read the technical specs and that it was designed by a BJJ player, I have changed my mind. I have purchased two tops and tested it on the mat in standing and ground fights. In both environments, the product stood well to the test, the hem of the top stayed securely tucked inside my trousers. There is great flexibility for omni-directional movements. It's comfortably and cool, and sweat is quickly wicked away. I'm so impressed that I will also opt for the Outshock 200 for summer training. An excellent rashguard for judo and BJJ (with and without gi) training.

Good quality but the sizing is wrong

The quality seems good - it's been washed two or three times and the surface printing has survived so far - I thought it wouldn't. The size is utterly wrong, however - I bought size large but it is smaller than one or two medium size rash guards I have from other manufacturers. It's just way too small to be labelled "large". Someone at Decathlon needs to do some comparisons with other mainstream brands and adjust size labelling accordingly.

Product information

Composition

Main fabric

  • 11% Elasthane
  • 89% Polyester

Design

This rashguard has been designed by our team of practitioners to meet the specific needs of grappling. Here are some of the key features that were chosen for this product:- Thick, stretchy synthetic fabric for exceptional durability.- Elasticated with silicone strips at the wrists and waist, ensuring the product stays in place.- Seams away from the shoulders to make the most of the stretch properties of the fabric and ensure good freedom of movement.

Fabric details

Durability is key for products used in our sport (due to rubbing from mats, etc.).The fabric is thus highly durable but also wicks perspiration, essential during intense sessions! The thickness of the fabric also keeps you comfortable when training in cool rooms.

Style

The rashguard's style is simple in order to highlight the technical features of the product. The "Ground Fighting" logo is also visible on all our other grappling products for a coordinated look across the range.

What is grappling?

Grappling is a very general term used to mean all grappling sports: NoGi, Luta Livre, wrestling, etc. These disciplines, whilst being similar, have different combat styles and their own particular rules. The term "grappling" highlights the use of grappling techniques: grappling with your opponent is thus different from disciplines which use strikes.
