Wore these around the house/work for a couple of days, as a precaution to break them in. Have just spent a full day hiking of path across Oxenhope Moor (peat bogs), and the have been like warm, waterproof slippers… highly recommended!
Very good combination with the trekking boots of decathlon. Comfortable to the toes in long trek. Specially protected in major frictional parts of toes.
It's good for Himalaya treks
Not up to mark already some cracks around toe area.. Not worth the price.
My feet got wet even after wearing this. For light to moderate rains this is ok. For shallow puddles too, this is fine. Anything more than that and your feet will get wet.
Got these shoes and did 2 treks recently. That too pretty moderate level treks. The issues I faced with these shoes are - The traction of these shoes is not good. The water proof quality of these shoes is really bad, some splashes of water while crossing a stream and water seeps in. And last thing the taping at front part is coming off.

The design of this shoe is not pleasing/aesthetic. Built is however sturdy and bomb proof. It a very heavy and rigid pair of shoe.
I used this shoe recently on Pangarchulla & Kauri Pass Trek, was very happy to see better cushion of the shoe & the support to the foot. Although it needs to be break in before one go for a trek, atleast of 5-7 days. Rest i liked the product knowing it has good grip & waterproofness.
Used this product for jus 5 days..stitches started to tear out..outer leather Lining along the stiches started to burst.while wearing it puffs up by the sides looks odd. Even the material claimed to be leather does not seem so.
The has been the ultimate Himalayan trekking boots. Super Comfortable, Very nice cushioning and grip. I used it in Winter Kedarkantha trek and In Hampta pass trek during the summer. The boots were perfect for both seasons. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.... I suggest to use waterproofing leather grease after each usease before storing to make the boot last very long.
I was looking around at other similar leather walking boots, but for the money, so far these have been really good. I've used them for the morning dog walk of approx 2hrs every day for the last few months, which have been particularly 'weathery', and never had wet feet. They're comfortable and sizing is good. The grip in the woodland much and loam is superb. On the wet days, they certainly kept me upright on some slippery and muddy paths. Was interesting that there was no box or care instructions in the package that you would get with other brands, but I guess that's just less waste to deal with. I think there is a large label on the inner of the tongue that may have some info although not managed to read it so far. Looking forward to some longer hikes with them on the local coast paths and Dartmoor.
Boots outperformed many other expensive “name” brands especially in keeping feed dry on a recent walk in Tasmania
Very bad product

Excellent shoe in this rate
The grip on our soles is labelled CROSS CONTACT®.To be awarded this certification, boots must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip level on different surfaces (Smooth, Rugged, Dry, Wet). To validate these tests, we assess the quality of our soles in the field and in the mountains, using a panel of representative testers over 500 km
This boot has been validated on the waterproofing test at 30,000 repeatable flexes, i.e. 15 km - 6 hours of walking, in water up to the mid-upper, which today guarantees the best level of waterproofing for your boots.--> Our assessment indicates a LEVEL OF 3/5 enabling 6 hour waterproofing in hiking under the rain. The details of tests carried out to assess the waterproofing of our boots is below, in the characteristics section.
The waterproofing of boots is often compromised because water gets in at the collar of the boot. To keep your feet dry for longer, it is therefore advisable to use a waterproof gaiter or mini-gaiter that will prevent not only water from getting inside through the top, but also pebbles, sand, etc. It is advisable to use a waterproof spray several times a year. This restores the original water-repellent properties and prevents staining.
1 / Use a brush and/or sponge to clean the boot and remove any dirt or mud.2/ Then leave to air dry, away from any heat source.3/ Finish by using a re-waterproofing spray to keep optimal water-repellency of the upper and extend the life of the boot.Link below for the applicatorhttps://www.decathlon.fr/p/applicateur-re-activateur-de-deperlance-pour-chaussures/_/R-p-307629?mc=8551
WHICH SIZE SHOULD I CHOOSE?For hiking, try taking one boot size up from your usual to ensure optimum comfort when going downhill and prevent your toes from hitting the toe box. Tip: keep your toenails short and, before descending, check that your lacing prevents your foot from sliding forwards inside the shoe.
During the waterproofing test, we test 5 levels of waterproofing:2,000 flexes (approximately 4 km , 30 minutes of walking)10,000 flexes (approximately 10 km , 3 hours of walking)30,000 (approximately 15 km , 6 hours of walking)50,000 flexes (approximately 20 km , 8 hours of walking)100,000 flexes (approximately >20 km , 24 hours of walking)
Our shoes are laboratory tested according to two successive testsTest 1 / We test the efficiency of the membrane only when it is pressured and placed in water, we check the absence of water at the surface, like when you test a "punctured inner tube".Test 2 / Thanks to mechanical arms that simulate walking, the assembled shoes are half immersed in water and they complete thousands of flexes to check that the inside of the shoe remains dry and it is therefore waterproof.
How to choose your shoes:1. Try both boots on, standing up, wearing the socks you use for hiking.2. Tighten the laces correctly3. Check the following two areas of comfort: the heel and the front of the foot when going downhill.4. Get up to walk with the shoes on.5. Try on several sizes and several models.6. Wear your boots for increasingly long periods to wear them in
