Comfortable, waterproof boots great for hiking in wet wheather and muddy paths.
I had purchased this pair from mumbai, Atria Showroom. In the beginning, i was impressed with its material and features, but as i started trying it out at home before the himalayan trek, i obsereved that there is a curve gap inside behind the heel side. I tried to knot the laces with different tightness but still, while walking, my heel started moving inside in that gap. Tying up shoe evry tight, gives discomfort and the leather is too thick and hard. So it gives heavy feeling on feet. (This was twice shown to the showroom representative and i also tried adding gel sole inside. But it did not work) High ankle is not comfortable like trek 100 (older version Forclaz 500) and it hurts on the back side over ankle. It is also wide on upper feet so it doesnt fit on my narrow foot from inside, just as forclaz 500 used to fit perfectly. Still, I have just used it on Pangarchulla Trek (5 to 10 Dec) without additional gel insole, on normal and snowvy terrain and it was not comfortable at all. Legs started paining. So for my immediate next trek, i am now renting out thr Trek 100 (old Forclaz 500), so i would be able to finish my upcoming trek (12 to 18 dec) without any pain Though the features and material is really good, but I am not satisfied with its performance. I may recommend this to others but for me, it is not suiting to my feet Would like to change this and try another model of trek 100, if Decathlon is ready to replace after doing one trek in this pair. Looking for a reply over this. Thank you
Given the mixed reviews I wasn't sure about the boots. I've worn them every day for 4 weeks on a range of walks from 1 mile round the park to a 6 mile walk in the country. My views are: Comfort: out of the box comfortable & no issues Waterproof: stayed dry in wet grass, mud & puddles Grip: as good as previous boots of various brands Overall: does what I needed at a relatively low price.
A very good boot. I've worn this boot for a year now. Through all terrain, it seems to hold up. It has been very good in the wet and even held up against deep puddles - not had a wet foot yet. The boot was a bit stiff but mine seemed to bed in nicely - although after a 7 hour trek, I am ready to take them off! I'm sure that would be the case for any boot mind! I've not really kept them clean or treated them with anything and they are still doing well.
Completed GOECHALA PASS and PIN PARVATI PASS with this shoe .Not found such as a problem with the shoe . Only things it is little heavier than other shoe.Overall good experience till date.
Bought online on advice of Staff at Decathlon Noida. A but heavy and takes time to get used to. But I was forewarned. Went valley of flowers, Hemkunt Sahib and trekked and near Badrinath. Realised it protects twisting of ankle which can be very common in such terrains.
Inner surface of the shoe is not very smooth, some hard points is hurts my feet
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the product. The issue with inner of Trek 100 leather shoe doesn't sound normal, It might be because of sizing issue or any manufacturing defect, I suggest you to please reach out to your nearest Decathlon store and have the product physically checked by our team.

Have used these for a number of hiking weekends in a row now and have got blisters each time. The toe cap on the end digs in and even with loose lacing the top of the boot is also uncomfortable. Thought that with time the boots would wear in but this has not been the case. Disappointed as have bought some excellent things from decathlon in the past.
I am a dog walker so wear these boots all day everyday, amazingly comfortable & waterproof. Because of the distances i do, with each pair i buy a decent pair of inner's but that just something i have always done. I'm on my 3rd set now & they are just starting to wear out & let in a bit of water BUT Strava tells me i have done over 700 km's in them so really not complaining. Great value for money, when these ones let go i will certainly just by another pair.
The shoes are very uncomfortable and are very heavy. Better go for a light weight trekking shoes than to opt for these ones
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the product. Since It it very important for a trekking boot to have good cushioning, Waterproof, High ankle, good grip, durable etc. All of these functions are attained by addition of materials which makes it slight heavier but makes a great trek companion.
However we appreciate your feedback and this will go a long way for us to develop right product for you.

I have used few trekking shoes now. And Trek 100 is one of the best one considering different aspect of a trekking shoes. Honestly I have not used it specially for trekking yet, but I used it for travelling through Europe in winter. I loved how light it is, with a superb grip it provides on different kind surfaces. The shoe is easy to break into and is more snug and a lot warmer as compared to the previous Trek 100 Shoe.
I have used this product for several trek and all I can say that its a very comfortable shoe I have bought till now. Few specific things where this shoe can help you with are protection, waterproof & flexibility. I am really happy with the shoe, juts price is little high ;)
I have used twice after purchase the shoes while trekking in Sahyadri region of Maharashtra, India VIZ. One tree climb , Matheran and Prabal from Thakurwadi. My socks get wet when i have to walk in stream as well as during raining. If there is more water in the stream Water enters from top . I have purchased to use at high altitude --Kailash trek. I may be advised suitably to ensure that my shock remain dry and if i have to walk in water / stream/ snow what precautions i should take. Thanks
Great from comfort point of view but definitely not waterproof. They take water through the leather into the boot and leave you with wet feet. Not great when that's a selling point

The grip on our soles is labelled CROSS CONTACT®.To be awarded this certification, boots must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip level on different surfaces (Smooth, Rugged, Dry, Wet). To validate these tests, we assess the quality of our soles in the field and in the mountains, using a panel of representative testers over 500 km
This boot has been validated on the waterproofing test at 30,000 repeatable flexes, i.e. 15 km - 6 hours of walking, in water up to the mid-upper, which today guarantees the best level of waterproofing for your boots.--> Our assessment indicates a LEVEL OF 3/5 enabling 6 hour waterproofing in hiking under the rain. The details of tests carried out to assess the waterproofing of our boots is below, in the characteristics section.
The waterproofing of boots is often compromised because water gets in at the collar of the boot. To keep your feet dry for longer, it is therefore advisable to use a waterproof gaiter or mini-gaiter that will prevent not only water from getting inside through the top, but also pebbles, sand, etc. It is advisable to use a waterproof spray several times a year. This restores the original water-repellent properties and prevents staining.
1 / Use a brush and/or sponge to clean the boot and remove any dirt or mud.2/ Then leave to air dry, away from any heat source.3/ Finish by using a re-waterproofing spray to keep optimal water-repellency of the upper and extend the life of the boot.Link below for the applicatorhttps://www.decathlon.fr/p/applicateur-re-activateur-de-deperlance-pour-chaussures/_/R-p-307629?mc=8551
WHICH SIZE SHOULD I CHOOSE?For hiking, try taking one boot size up from your usual to ensure optimum comfort when going downhill and prevent your toes from hitting the toe box. Tip: keep your toenails short and, before descending, check that your lacing prevents your foot from sliding forwards inside the shoe.
During the waterproofing test, we test 5 levels of waterproofing:2,000 flexes (approximately 4 km , 30 minutes of walking)10,000 flexes (approximately 10 km , 3 hours of walking)30,000 (approximately 15 km , 6 hours of walking)50,000 flexes (approximately 20 km , 8 hours of walking)100,000 flexes (approximately >20 km , 24 hours of walking)
Our shoes are laboratory tested according to two successive testsTest 1 / We test the efficiency of the membrane only when it is pressured and placed in water, we check the absence of water at the surface, like when you test a "punctured inner tube".Test 2 / Thanks to mechanical arms that simulate walking, the assembled shoes are half immersed in water and they complete thousands of flexes to check that the inside of the shoe remains dry and it is therefore waterproof.
How to choose your shoes:1. Try both boots on, standing up, wearing the socks you use for hiking.2. Tighten the laces correctly3. Check the following two areas of comfort: the heel and the front of the foot when going downhill.4. Get up to walk with the shoes on.5. Try on several sizes and several models.6. Wear your boots for increasingly long periods to wear them in
