A pretty fun bar that allows me to work out from the comfort of my home. Only downside is that the rather flimsy foam on the handles that rest on the door frame is already gone after less than a week of usage and that the bar is now starting to damage my door frame.
Initially went to buy the pull-up and dip bar but unfortunately it was out of stock. Decided to buy this because the sales man said it could be bolted to the wall aside from being used on doors. He even called in the 'expert' to confirm that this could be installed to walls so I was confident that I would be able to use it at home. The box came with hooks but it only serves as a support if used on the door but it really isn't intended for walls.
Easy and quick to put together, but quite simply doesn’t fit any of our door frames in our house.
The pull up bar is strong and sturdy and easy to put together. However, an error in manufacturing has resulted in the foam protecting the wall from the pull up bar being on the wrong side and therefore ineffective.
I use the product the opposite way , not on the door frame but against the wall with a protruding centre screw to secure the bar from rocking
This is a very good and versatile. It is very secure and is effective.
It's adjustable and working very good even on weak walls and doorframes.
Like many people here, this product does not fit my doorways. Take note of the picture that indicates dimensions, you need to have a very thin doorway with thin trim as there is only a 3cm range of adjustment. I'm surprised decathlon haven't made one that accommodates thicker door ways given the feedback here.
This is a great bar but it didn’t come with any wall fixings to put the grips up! There wasn’t even any advice on what screws to get! This is quite poor and should at least say on the box that they are not included!
simple. functional. note: can be problematic to install correctly if wall/doorframe depths are too thin. minimum thickness of wall/frame needed appears to be about 95mm.
Sturdy design but didn't fit any of the door frames in our house. I think this would be the case or most houses with brick interior wall construction (predominant in UK/Ireland)
Thanks a lot for giving us your opinion on 500 Pull-Up Bar. Your feedback is very valuable for us and I'll send it immediately to the product manager in order to develop a most suitable product.
Nicola BARNABÒ DECATHLON
Seems a decent product, but the walls in my old house are too thick for it so had to return

You must use the two safety cleats supplied with your bar for safe installation. Once mounted, simply place the bar on the cleats.Since every wall is different, we do not supply the screws. We recommend that you contact a hardware store professional to choose the screws suited to your needs.
The pull-up bar is a strength training accessory for doing suspension exercises to sculpt your muscles. These exercises will help you build muscles in your biceps, back, shoulders, pecs and abs. Doing pull-ups in an underhand position (palms towards you) works your biceps. An overhand position (palms away from you) will put the focus on your back.
