Great for getting up and down Scottish Mountains on the weekends (in summer conditions). They have a great level of water resistance and are by far some of the most comfortable boots I have owned.
Great boot very comfortable for walking and was very capable with light climbing/scrambling
Bought for my son - he says highly recommended
Comfortable n good value for money
Dear Samantha, thank you for your time in rating our Trek100 Men Mountain Trekking Boots. We are glad that we managed to delight you with the standards of our product. We have read through your comments and will take note of these points into improving ourselves to better satisfy your needs. Thank you once again for your time and we hope to serve you again soon!
This is a bit subjective review, and hence has to be taken with a pinch of salt This model seems to have very less grip on wet dirt / stone etc. Not suitable for road-side sections Suggestion - If you are going on a trek which has even a slight chances of walking on exposures (edges, ridge etc) would suggest you check Salomon Ultra 3GTX or equivalents. Not worth risking life by saving on a few bucks
Thank you for taking the time to give your valuable review. We are sorry for the issue you faced.

Cushioning and grip of shoes is excellent . specially in daunting areas . Good for both winters and summer treks.
Wider footed child says these are sturdy, comfortable and warm. Not yet confirmed waterproofness. She preferred these over any of the women’s options offered.
+ve: Good value, lightweight, good ankle support reasonably comfortable, -ve: Not enough toe wiggle room so can pinch a little in thick socks on a long walk.
Tongue was to short so when laced up would rub into your skin poor show

I got this pairs for Paragliding Course purpose. When i tried i feel that it will also be useful for Trekking obviously, Even for bike riding, for sky diving, it’s 1 product for multiple purpose. I am happy with my decision and purchase.
Used for only 2 trekking trips in 2017 , wrapped in a plastic bag and in a carton box and stored for one year (thanks to covid-19) and the sole rubber broken into multiple pieces...trekking shoes lasts for a life time but not this. How to get it repaired
Thank you for your valuable review. I am sorry to say that we don't have any repair option for the boots today. Although the warranty we provide is for 2 years, Could you please write back to me and share some images of the defect so that we can provide the best possible solution.

99% waterproof I used this shoes in Kashmir in snow and minus temperature. Best shoes for winter
Footwear waterproofing test: these boots, which have been tested in the laboratory and the field, have a breathable, waterproof membrane for optimum protection in the rain. First, the boot is immersed in water with pressurised air inside to check that no bubbles form on the surface. Then, the boots are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half immersed in water to test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
During the waterproofing test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2000 flexes (about 4 km of walking), 4000 flexes (about 8 km of walking) and 8000 flexes (about 16 km of walking). Naturally, when the boot has dried after the test or in use, it regains its original waterproof rating.
The TREK 100 boot has passed the waterproofing test involving 8000 flexes, i.e. 16 km of walking in water up to the middle of the upper.
Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements:- attachment of eyelets and webbing- sole assembly- toxicology- UV resistance- abrasion of the sole and upper components- accelerated ageing.
Try on both boots, while standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the forefoot when going downhill. You should not feel any pressure points when trying them on. Feel free to walk around the store.Gradually wear in your boots over the course of a few hikes so that they conform to your feet.
TREK 100 boots are made in the European Union, in Romania. Most materials are of European origin.
